    GARDENER

    Maart was raised in Klaasvoogds Robertson, where his family tended to the land. In 2000, as a young man, he began working at Soekershof under the guidance of the former owner, Herman von Bon. Maart possesses extensive knowledge about every plant, cactus, and tree that graces the property. Walking through the garden with Maart is a captivating experience as he recounts the origins and stories behind each plant's presence at Soekershof.

  • Thando

    CHEF

    Thando is a true Robertson local, having spent her formative years here before finishing high school in the Cape. Her career journey led her to work at Robertson Small Hotel under Reuben in 2009, followed by a stint at a lodge in Botswana. However, she eventually returned to Ashton to build her family life alongside her husband. Joining Restaurant Succulent in 2023, Thando took charge, crafting all the menus herself and nurturing the kitchen team under her expert guidance.

  • Sibo

    MANAGER

    Sibo hails from Johannesburg and joined Mo&Rose under the previous owners, Axel and Monika, in 2015. Starting from housekeeping, she steadily advanced to become a waitress, eventually attaining the role of manager in 2023. Whether she's managing calls, responding to emails, or warmly welcoming guests upon their arrival, Sibo is the epitome of hospitality, ensuring a seamless experience for all.
